This quest was originally ran during the 2020 anniversary - here.
After nearly a year, I happened to discuss this quest with @Aia del Mana, who had generously offered to sponsor this into a permanent quest. In essence, the quest is identical, though, after it has proven to be of... quite high difficulty, the requirements has been reduced somewhat, and the rewards increased to reflect it.
The quest will be, as following:
A hunt for Darvin.
Darvin, the advanced Aramor, had escaped into a new section of the labyrinth, and needs to be captured. This new section is a huge interconnected area, akin to a chessboard. Each turn, A25 holders, using their given A25 tools, freely teleports into a tile of their choosing. Each turn, Darvin surfs the heat current, moving to a different adjacent tile. He cannot move to tiles diagonal to his current location, as there would be no heatvein connecting the two square. He cannot remain still, as such is the nature that he was given. Each party action happen simultaneously. The tool holders and Darvin must move, at the same turn, to the same square, for Darvin to be considered "found". By chance, magic, or unknown mechanic within the realm itself, almost like quantum physics, he cannot be found unless, by deduction, he must be found. Should one seek him out at random, even how improbable it would be, he shall never be found. Noticing these rules, Chew deducted a simple way method: to organize a massive manhunt, placing players in every tile. Gets the job done, gets it done fast. However, Mur insist that the A25 tools may only be handed out to as few people as possible. To this end, find the methods needed, and the numbers of tools to hand out, to solve the following situations: 1. If the labyrinth size is 3x3. For this simple case, simply pointing out a correct pattern (with the minimum number of tools holders), would suffice. Those who solve this should expect a spell document to celebrate their success.
2. If the labyrinth size is 5x5. A detailed mathematical proof, showing not only the pattern, but that it is indeed the minimum number of tool holder needed. A wishpoint will be rewarded.
3. If the labyrinth size is unknown (n x n). A detailed mathematical proof, showing the pattern/rules is required. A single selection between a colored Winderwild, Elemental, or Pope, shall be rewarded. This is not first-come, first-served, anyone who managed to meet the requirements shall be rewarded all the same. I could provide aid and discussion if you want to challenge this - as this task is quite difficult.
In mathematical terms (or simplified terms):
Darvin will be on a chessboard-like grid. Each turn, he must move one tile, up, down, left or right. Each turn, you choose a number of squares to find Darvin. Actions happen simultaneously. Darvin is considered found, if he and you chose the same square. Darvin cannot be found at random. You must prove that he must be found using your pattern. Think of it as a strategy game, and that he knows your strategy from the very start. Find a pattern that he can't beat. You must find a pattern that requires the least amount of searches per turn. 1. Find the solution if the square is 3x3. No proof required, just the pattern. I've been authorized to grant you a spell-document should you submit a valid solution.
2. Find the solution if the square is 5x5. Proof, including why the pattern is optimal (uses the least amount of searches per turn), is required. A wishpoint will be rewarded.
3. Find the general solution for an n x n square, showing the pattern, as well as the proof for why it is optimal. Aid may be provided if requested. You may choose between a colored Winderwild, Elemental, or Pope as your reward.
Solutions must be submitted in a private manner. Any private methods is acceptable, though I must warn that I do not check the ingame inbox often. Do not discuss, share, or collaborate. Please check your work thoroughly before submitting. If I feel like you're probing for the answer by having me pointing out mistakes, you may be disqualified. This applies mostly to reward 1, and somewhat for reward 2. To clarify, for task 2 and 3, a detailed proof of not only how the pattern will work, but also why you can't find Darvin with less tool holders will be required. For task 1, simply showing a pattern would suffice, without much explanation needed.

I will post this half-finished project because I cannot get the results I want, the way I want them. My goal was to discuss the subject with all who are awake and willing, but while doing that, I realized I cannot reach my goal this way. I have heard different opinions from everyone, there were no two alike, and while I enjoyed it, it's making things soo difficult. What follows are my own thoughts, although some were created only by talking to others.
'To bless'' or ''to curse'' are terms associated with religion, magic rituals and other esoteric. Yet to bless is nothing more than wishing someone well and to curse is nothing but wishing someone ill. Words are not even needed; it is intention that puts things in motion.
What we do, what life does in general, needs no explanations, no definitions, no descriptions. Yet we come up with categories, definitions, rules, because that is a path we create in the sea of chaos. So I try to describe this concept of wishing someone well, although it needs no descriptions.
A blessing is the act of wishing someone well. A blessing can be silent; words only augment the reality of a blessing. A silent blessing is an intention that came into existence - this is not something passive. A blessing is usually born in extraordinary circumstances. It can accompany great deeds or it can be humble, but it always carries comfort.
Another way to augment the reality of a blessing is by an additional act - the gifting of a helpful item. Intention puts things in motion and is carried by material means, and the lack of a tangible aid either means the lack of such means or a deceiving act.
A blessing reveals the bond between two beings. Because of this, blessing were and are employed in many 'businesses'. Living, you create and undo bonds, but the desire for bonding and the fear of severing makes blessings profitable, when they can be faked.
A blessing can be seen as a symbol - a symbol of a union between two selves into an imperfect/unstable ''greater self''. This greater self can expand to family, tribe, nation, although with every level of expansion the blessing is losing reality.
Since I like playing in Photoshop, those of you who wish to, can message me and I will add their blessing to the album I will be creating in a minute (that was another failed idea). As for discussing the ''paper'' I made, I'm available, but not in this thread.
Howdy MD! As it's the anniversary, a time of celebration and commemoration, I'd like for us to take a moment to reflect on things that may have been forgotten by some folks. The premise is simple: I want you to do some research on Land Weapons and send in your findings. For transparency's sake, I plan to make all entries public after judging is complete, but if requested I'm willing to redact parts. So without further ado, here are your research prompts, use as many or few as you like, but I do expect some details from each prompt to be in your submission, even if you don't directly address the question. However, the final two are mandatory.
What is a Land Weapon?
How many are there?
Where are they?
What do they do?
How are they activated?
How are they powered?
How are they controlled?
What would happen to it if a Land were to lose its Weapon, or access thereto?
For each Land that contains a Land Weapon, imagine you are a citizen with full control over the Weapon and explain how you'd use your Homeland's Weapon to help your fellow citizens.
For each Land that contains a Land Weapon, imagine you are an infiltrator who has seized control of the Weapon and explain how you'd use it to disrupt your enemies.
Some might say this is a cheap data-mining attempt, so to offset said cheapness I'll be personally sponsoring a Tainted Angien, to be rewarded if:
1. There are at least 10 entries, each with at least one interesting idea in them. Doesn't have to be original, but it must to be interesting.
2. The judge(s) determine that one entry stands above the rest as particularly insightful, well-researched or creative.
So now it's an expensive data-mining attempt! Take that imaginary critics!
I'll also be sponsoring a pack of Molima-related resources, which includes 5 glue, a skull and some garbage, maybe a couple others (I need to check what he costs again to be sure, will do so once I return to the mainland), as well as one History of the Elucubration Creature item (I promised this item to Zleip as a sponsorship for one of his quests in the past, but that was years ago, so I'm invoking the statute of limitations. Sorry Z!). These rewards will go to either first and second or second and third, or may be distributed differently, pursuant to possible further sponsorships.
NOTE: It seems the History of the Elu items aren't working...I hope they're fixable! I'll make a bug report.

Anybody willing to help judge would be greatly appreciated. The only prerequisite being that you have what you consider a good baseline knowledge about Land Weapons. I'd like to specifically request Chew or Mur to help judge this (and especially to help redact the published answers!) if either of you have the time/energy, but if not we shall make due! If nobody wants to be a judge, I'll instead write up some criteria and have each participant mark other entries, and average that score with my judgement on the same criteria.

I don't think I have the concept of 'creatures in MD' clear. Story mode would tell you those creatures are alive, need to be bound to your spirit and then you can use them in combat. Thus, they are not summoned, but persuaded through economical means.Then, I guess something changed, as recruiting places were described places where it would be easier for the summoner to get his creatures (that implies creatures are summoned). Those creatures are called out/back and used, either as they are or refined/cultivated; they can also be sacrificed.
Now, we are at the point where you actually build/produce/create/shape creatures. Now, I forgot everything about Molima, but as for the shmsh, it's a cool build-up. I have seen only the first level (in a guide), but there are such lifeforms irl that go into hibernation and awake when the environment allows life to thrive. That larva makes me think of tardigraves, really, and the rainwater being used to open the fenth makes sense (as rainwater can only exist in a viable environment). Aramor fenths use resources and a reality shard, which is the substitute for something resources cannot ever replace. The resources used can give you an idea about the character of the creature, but in themselves do not grant that spark of life/reality.
What does this transition mean for the concept of creatures? I don't see we shape life as some kind of god, instead we get a spark of life into our possession that we use, so it's not such a big difference in the end? What do you think?

Welcome to a new series of quests, made to frustrate and test your skills in various areas of expertise!
Each month I will be unveiling a new quest with different rewards and prizes, some will be small and some will be large, but all will be just as annoying (or fun, for some) as the last!
To view the current month's, active quest in more detail, simply go to the GoE and tell the lower right tile to "Puzzle me!", then simply follow the steps from there!
But, to kick things off, the first quest shall be...
'A puzzle or four!'
Description: Four puzzles have been placed in various locations in the realm. Using hints provided, you must find the locations and complete the puzzles. The one that completes the quest the quickest (in it's entirety) will win one wish point.
Instructions: Check GoE for starting details. Once a puzzle is completed, PM (forum/IG) the completed image along with it's correct Co-Ordinates and (if it has one) location name. Once that has been received and verified, you will then be given the next clue to the location of the next puzzle.
One account per player only. You will have 3 attempts per scene to give correct name and/or co-ordinates. Failing 3 times with any one scene will result in 'game over', so think carefully. Don't get annoyed at me if you think these are annoying (I got annoyed at me), you join at your own risk! Prizes:
Player to complete in the quickest time will receive 1 Wishpoint.
Final entries to begin the quest will be 23-01-17, 00:00ST and all final submissions 30-01-17, 00:00ST
