Quest: the reasons behind Mur's murder

1. Lash has some sort of deathwish (either to die at the hand of mur, or because he killed mur, or so he can be reborn, not sure)

2. Mur's death is to facilitate someone's rebirth (either Mur, or Lash, or both?)

3. Lash is trying to anger Mur/get his attention

4. There is some kind of secret involved (either on Mur's end or Lash's)

5. Somebody wants someone else's job/role, and by Murdering Mur, that role potentially could be taken (what role/job i'm not sure, nor by whom)

One might be on the right track.

1. To learn from Mur's death.

2. To fulfill the mandate of balance.

3. For the experience of the deed itself.

4. To discover what the denial of a god would entail.

5. To see how it would change him (the killer).

6. To bring god before their (god's) creation.

7. To free god from the world.

8. It was not a choice. It was his role to do so.

One is on the right track.

Because the killer believed that the love he felt for Mur was so immense that he regarded Mur as an equal, not a god (which would lead to a different kind of submissive love) and hence, he did it to prove that :3

I - lashtal sought to act in accordance with his True Will. lashtal's True Will is his Nature.

II - lasthal sought to act in accordance with his True Will. The nature of lashtal's True Will is Love.

III - lashtal sought to act in accordance with his True Will. lashtal's True Will is that of God.

IV - lashtal sought to act in accordance with his True Will. As lashtal' True Will is that of God, lashtal is God.

V - lashtal sought to act in accordance with his True Will. lashtal's True Will seeks the Transcedent, and as such he seeks his destruction.

1. lashtal killed Mur for it was his Nature to do so.

2. lashtal killed Mur out of Love.

3. lashtal killed Mur for it was Mur's own will.

4. lahstal killed Mur so that he would kill lashtal.

5. lashtal killed Mur so that he might learn his True Will.

Oh God, permutations! A cabalistic approach to find the ultimate answer?  ;)

6 of them are on the right track, but... I had only 5 reasons! Does this mean your method is too good?  :P

Seriously:

3 of them are very close to 3 reasons of mine.

3 are more like tautologies.

So, if nobody finds my exact words, Azkhael gets 3 points!

One of you almost guessed the 4th reason... But the 5th is still missing!

...

to sum up rules and scores:

I had 5 reasons.

You can post a maximum of 10 reasons / post.

Each correct reason you guess in a single post, you get 1 point.

You can combine/merge posts by other people. But only 10 reasons / post.

If you guess 3 reasons in a single post, you have 3 points.

If you had already 1 point and then, in another post, you guess 3 reasons, you have 3 points, not 4.

Q: so, if I guess 5 reasons I win?

A: if you post 10 reasons and 5 are correct, someone else can still do better. If you post 5 reasons and all of them are correct, you win.

For the sake of fairness, note: I - 1, II - 2, III - 3, IV - 4, V - 5 are paired as premise and conclusion. I - V were not meant to be actual entries on their own, though, in hindsight, I should have stated as much. If three out of the ten seem tautological, that is, more likely than not, because three from 1 to 5 are correct, and three from I to V mirror them in fashion.

lashtal killed Mur because it was destiny/karma/whatever you wish to call it.

lashtal kills Mur in an attempt to evolve/transcend/elevate himself (through destruction)

One is correct.

Edit: dst has 1 point.

lashtal killed Mur because through his actions/ideas/etc Mur asked for it :D

lashtal killed Mur to identify himself with a god (killing a god makes you a god)

it was lashtal's destiny to become a godslayer

LE: I feel like a dog running in circles and chasing my own tail. The moment I will actually MANAGE to catch my tail....oh it will be PURE BLISS!

One is correct, but you worded it better in another post.

Aaah, that tail!!!    :P

Lashtal killed because he wanted to be a demond god slayer

Not entirely wrong, but someone else was closer.

lashtal killed Mur to make Mur mortal.

lashtal is a godslayer so it was his destiny to kill Mur.

One is false, one is partially correct.

Lashtal is the dead keeper. He killed mur because is written. The time of mur is come death and thats why lasthal killed the demi-god mur

One of these is true.
