That's not a limerick.

You've got to be able to read it with 3-3-2-2-3 cadence (emphasis of the beat) - the whole thing taking 13 beats (16 with pauses after the long lines). Think of this as sung in 4/4 time for 4 measures.

Ta-DA-ta-ta-DA-te-te-DA (pause)
Ta-DA-ta-ta-DA-te-te-DA (pause)
Ta-DA-ta-ta-DA, Ta-DA-ta-ta-DA
Ta-DA-ta-ta-DA-te-te-DA (pause)

I corrected it, tho you should have given a real example pickle man! Z please just use the Limerick style as it is shown here http://www.poetryame...om/Limerick.asp: and of course you may write as many as you like but you must choose one for the voting

I've never written a limerick - so here are some broken attempts:

There once was Peace, a Necrovian
Who finding the ocean dove she in
But being part shade
It became her true grave
And as she died, the moral she cried, don't mistake oneself for avian

(I don't think this is a limerack. The ending line was way too many foots. Alternatively, it really wants to be a morphed limerick:

There once was Peace, a Necrovian
Who finding the ocean dove she in
But being part shade
It became her true grave
And as she died,
The moral she cried,
Don't mistake oneself for avian)

An alternate:

Have you met the poor man Grido?
He thought he could sing just any note,
So walking along
He sang a song,
And made, more than Eon, a thousand foe.

Or another:

I could tell you a tale of a man named Mur,
Who made a kingdom that many prefer,
So much they did love,
In opinion held him above,
And decided that to him their souls would transfer.

Why not:

A man once grew named Awiiya
He lived in intellect, peace, and awe
Until a non-poetic man
Tired of his wordy tin can
Cut him down quick with a tree saw.

And a final, real limerick, (with help from a one Tarquinus):

There was a kind Queen, Handy Pockets,
Who kept secret loves in a locket.
Once when broken unlocked,
Everyone was quite shocked,
To see pictures of fire bombs and rockets

There once was a girl from nantucket...

No, no, that can't be it.

There was a man made of dust,
It was said he smelled of must,
He walked around,
Then he sat down,
And fell apart as he hit a good gust

There was a gnome named Gerome,
Gerome had not a home,
He walked through town,
In a ladies' nightgown,
For Gerome had not a home

There once was a man named Fyrd,
This man, he carried no curd,
He gave out pickles,
And flinched from tickles,
But the man, he kept his word

Undecided on which to enter...will pick soon...

Given the recent anniversary I have been but in somewhat of a more social mood. To that end it appears the my other half (the player) is reaching their anniversary and I would like to commission some music to celebrate this event. Not just any music will do, no we require a magicduel related parody of songs that already exist.

      Janie's got a gun
      Janie's got a gun
      Her whole world's come undone
From lookin' straight at the sun

      Granos' got a gun
      Granos' got a gun
      His whole void's come undone
From lookin' straight at the Mur

Note: This is just an example I am no artist

This will be decided by community vote, but for more effort more points will be awarded.
      1 up vote = 1 point
      1 heart = 2 points
      Written = 1 point
      Audio = 2 points
      Video = 3 points

The rewards: (note may be increased if there is enough interest)

      1st place 5gc
      2nd place 2gc
      3rd place 1gc

The last day of submission is the 5th of June 2021. Go forth and amuse me.

Please post here if you are intending to create and run a quest during AAA.
You should post your name and the intended name(s) of the quest(s) you intend to prepare and create for the event.
The topic of this particular AAA event is celestial lycanthropy. Basically this means that something about the heavens and something about transformation can be the theme (the self changes, the heavens change, both change, in different causal or correlational relationships). This theme is meant to be your inspiration, to get your juices flowing.
Guidelines: You can have your own rewards, however every participant who completes your quest will get QuestPoints (QP), which they can spend in the QP Shop to obtain rewards. The theme is meant to inspire you, it is not required. However, if your quest is deemed on-theme by a strict majority of your participants, then you, as the quest-creator will get bonus Quest points. Quests should be 20 minutes-72 hours long and open to anyone to complete. If quests are ridiculously easy, committee reserves right to nullify rewards for a portion of QP reward. For time frame go to: calendar page The quest can be any format: clickie, riddles, forum, outside artistry, combat, whatever. There will be a Quest Feedback form that SoE will be requiring participants and creators to use in order to provide points. Upon registering, creators will be given the link to the survey and a unique code for each quest. The creator should put somewhere upon completion of their quest the link and the code for their quest. We encourage quest creators to offer up their own rewards for quests. We just want to provide an environment where rewards (lack of or inability to find suitable ones) isn't an issue. These personally-offered rewards will be additional incentive for participants to complete your quest and will be in conjunction with the QP awarded. The top quest-maker, as determined by utilizing the survey, will receive a WP (possibly multiple winners, depending on the # of creators). The quests should be open during the time period of the event. The quests can stay open longer, but only the ones that are completed within the time frame will generate a benefit for creator and participants to use in event shop. Now, the complicated part...
      Quest Points.
Each time a participant completes a quest, both the creator and the participant get 5 QP each (if the survey is filled out).
The first time a quest is completed (and only the first time) the creator gets 10 QP, not 5. (their bonus for making a quest). So that if I make a quest and 2 ppl complete it, I would receive 15 QP, not 10. 10QP for participants, and 5QP for making quest that at least 1 person finished.
The survey will provide quality control and feedback for creators to hone their efforts in the future (participants should be nice). Using this Quest Point system, creators and participants can give tips to each other. Each player can give a tip 3 times as a creator, and 3x as a participant. Tips are worth 5 QP. Tips are rewarded by participants if they think the quest was really awesome. tips are given by creators when the submission or completion of their quest by a certain participant was awesome. The way this works is: if my quest is a clickie quest and I feel that it should take 2 hours to complete, but someone finishes it first and in 15 minutes, I will give a tip to that participant. Now that player gets 10 QP for finishing my quest. (I could tip a participant who wrote a 4 page novel when I asked for 400 characters, or someone who welded a model drachorn instead of drawing one, for example).  Tipping someone requires an explanation for event staff to avoid abuse.
      Now to the Point shop:
TLDR: You get points for making (if people complete) and completing quests. These points can be spent in event shop. There is a topic for event: celestial lycanthropy, this topic is meant to get your creativeness sparked. There will likely be benefits to making your quest on-theme. Quests must be registered in this topic below. To get credit, each participant must fill out the quest feedback survey upon completion, otherwise neither creator nor participant get credit.

      Hello all!

I wanted to bring up something I though has been a little unfair in the Heads Contest. I have been told it is unfair anyways, but hey. I thought this overstepped a little, and I wanted to bring it up. The problem I have seen is certain people, who are not in the Heads Contest, interfering with how it is running. This is mainly happening in two ways.

One, as far as I heard, people from outside the competition should not be able to take the heads of those in the competition. This has happened twice to me, and is in fact the only times I have lost heads. The first was from an attack by Eon, and then the next in one of the attacks from a group of other people. I wouldn't normally care, except that in both cases I lost all my heads. I would count this more as a bug, or perhaps a problem with BHC competitions going at the same time.

The second, and what I consider the more problematic and disturbing, is the use of certain spells and powers to influence the competition by people who are not participating. This one I have included the below screenshots for, to show proof of an event that happened today. It says in the Heads Contest page that the leaders will most probably hide, and we certainly were hiding, preserving our heads. But someone, which by the screenshots and information I have been told is most likely dst, teleported the leaders to the Gazebo of Equilibrium, where we promptly got beaten and our heads taken by people not in the competition. Beyond how this affects the scores of the people, it also artificially lengthens the competition, because we cannot advance and get to stage 2 as fast with less heads.

Here are the screenshots, with the spell, the server times, and the UID of the person who casted the spell circled (I have been told the UID is dst)

What are people's opinions of this? I know many consider the competition a joke because of certain fighters not being able to fight, since they have won, but shouldn't the competition still be followed instead of playing with the competitors like this? I also thought that spells weren't even allowed. I am genuinely interested in people's opinions and if there are in fact rules that are being broken.

      Thanks for reading!

Ok, there's this fugitive fellow called smoothbeauty (mp4) who can gain heads but cannot be attacked.
Probably a bug. Dst prompted me to report it here and also send an email to the Council, which I did.

Here's the topic that got this started: http://magicduel.inv...018#entry103018
