Right, Sunfire wins for best activity.
Best competitor goes to Miq for overall impact on blackjack and diplomacy (votes inconclusive so took executive decision after going through the logs again a few times)
Unique item goes to Ungod for being the only non arranged activity creator and for contributing throughout the entire evening!
Thank you again for the fun evening and I hope to run it again next year with some tweaks ^^

    The disastrous pub night
Day 124 of prison time. I have finally found the courage and clearness of mind to put my story on paper. It isn't one I'm particularly proud of, it is why it has taken me so long to write it, to face it even. I tried so hard to forget it but it is carved into my memory.
It was a casual Sun-day, I was at the pub with Ledah, having a few beers. We were laughing and cheering and having a great time. All until Ledah received a message, he suddenly turned serious and asked me something. My answer did not please him and we got into a discussion. Voices were lift and it eventually escalated into violence. Until it as suddenly stopped as swiftly as it began. And Ledah laying on the floor, blood running along the side of his head, and me standing above him with a broken bottle in my hand. And the sad thing is I don’t even remember what we argued about. Knowing Ledah it must have been something silly. ...How did it get this far?
The panic and regret filled my heart, but my head was filled with a dark cloud of treacherous reasoning. I dragged Ledah onto a carpet and rolled him into it. Then I wiped all the glass away and cleaned the spilled drinks, put the tables and chairs back in their places, when they weren't broken at least. Luckily pub fights are a commodity so there are no questions about a few tables or chairs less.
I lifted the carpet onto my shoulder and carried Ledah with me to the drywater temple. There I held a short little private ceremony before I burned him on a pyre of broken chairs and tables, scattering his ashes in the 4 corners of the East.
It didn’t take long before people started asking questions of his whereabouts. An excursion of the East foundations I uttered. And of course, as time passed by many search parties went there to find him. But not me, I sat down at the drywater temple, trying to face what had happened.
I grew apathic and violent, pushing everyone way. My only friends I had left were the pubkeepers as long as they supplied and the nightshade dealers for as long as I had the coin. I was alone, drifting towards insanity, floating between high and hungover. Some tried to talk me back to the land of reason, saying it wasn’t my fault that Ledah got lost. He was the village idiot after all, it was no surprise he would lose his way even if he walked a straight line. But it only brought me further down. The flow of days and faces passing by seemed endless but so did this torturing guilt.
Lady Ailith was one of those faces who stopped by at times, out of respect of what friendship we used to have I think. She lengthily tried to persuade me to give up this life and start living again. I got angry and lashed out at her. She was struck down to the ground, with a fine line of blood running from her temple. Flashbacks immediately appeared to that cursed night in the pub. My hands started shaking and I dropped to my knees crying. As Ailith got back onto her feet I confessed to her.
The following weeks were a blur. Was there a trial, or not I can’t remember. Was I dragged to jail or did I put myself here, I am not sure. How long do I need to stay here? Probably not long enough but little do they know that I'm eternally caged in my mind. Day 124 and I'm through withdrawal, my head is clear again and I can think again. It is time to face my punishment. Here I sit and here I will stay. Out of respect of Ledah, and all those friends I have let down. It is time I become the man I used to be again.

Sunfire reacted to Aelis in Grand Duke of the East
On Day 95, Year 15, at Sage's Keep,  @Chewett was made Grand Duke of the Lands of the East and King of Marind Bell. This is the first time someone in the realm is elected to rule two lands at the same time. An official minute of the event is located at the following topic:

Following the unprecedented ceremony, the Demon of the East has recognized Chewett's rulership over the Tribunal part of the Lands of the East as seen in Announcement 4963. This also marks the first time kingship tools are made available for the Lands of the East.
Prior to this election, the East had seen a couple of (somewhat unsuccessful) claims to power from Granos to Eon and Shadowseeker, then Sunfire and finally Pipstickz. Chewett went a different route, though: he met directly with all interested parties and managed to gather their support. It was a very clever move in terms of strategy and timing. Interestingly enough, the concept of a Dukedom in the East was proposed before by Pipstickz, but his idea did not gain enough traction at the time.
With all this happening only a few days prior to the very anticipated 15th Anniversary, it almost looks as if the birthday is already happening. I look forward to seeing (and documenting) the changes that this new dual rulership shall bring to our realm.

Not officially, but the clickies are still accessible.
I added a password 'tutorial' for the first step at Marble Dale park signpost clickable so that people can access it without it being on open sight with some of its obsolete infos.
edit: I'm not sure about the rewards I mentioned in the quest, since I don't have access to those creatures anymore (Tormented souls, Unholy priests), but if people message me with interesting quest entries, I will improvise

If you want to join an alliance you will need to find out which land you want to join.
Joining a lands alliance makes you an inhabitant of the land.
Some lands have more than 1 alliance too so inform about what each alliance stands for too.

    In Flanders fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
    In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
    In Flanders fields.

    Desiderata
GO PLACIDLY amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Sunfire reacted to Shemhazaj in fat reply - Change regarding the creature recruiting cost
Perhaps rather than total crits count the scaling would be set to count of a specific crit type.
For example if I have 40 Walking Trees and just 1 Chaos Archer the cost of recruiting another tree would be significantly affected while archers still remained low cost.
Ofc, the % scaling could be higher in such case.
That way collecting different types of creatures wouldn't be affecting recruiting, while farming would indeed be lot harder to do. Especially if the scaling referred to % of player's max Wi. Even to a point where binding another creature of a specific type could cost over 100% of one's max Wi.

Sunfire reacted to Syrian in fat reply - Change regarding the creature recruiting cost
i think a % can work if you making it a scaling percentage. so as you increase your max WI you can recruit a higher number of creatures. maybe that 30% would go down to 25, then 20, then 15, then 10, so it still rewards stat progression.
if you have millions of WI to start with, making it a flat 30% is just going to feel punishing for having put in all that effort to get there and remove all sense of acheivement for putting in the grind. if it's 30% plus a flat number, then you can only ever recruit 3 creatures , however, if you have mililons of WI, it's going to take you MUCH longer to regenerate that 30% to be able to recruit another, than say a newbie with barely any. the solution to that would be to make WI regerenate as a % , but then again, then tha tjust removes the point of farming WI to begin with, and it might as well be the same fixed value for everyone

The tournament has finished, be prepared to greet your new champion!
but let us begin with the beginning, the fight for bronze: Ledah vs No one
No one was so impressed with Ledah's path through the tournament he kindly bowed out to maintian his honor. (Or the other world kept him from completing his fight is in a reasonable timeframe).
Leaving the MD truest fossil as bronze medalist, proving that age is just a number!

And now, the main event, the legendary fight between a (former) king and a god! Jubaris vs Chewett!
this much anticipated battle more than delivered, these two oldtimers exchanged jabs without a second thought. when the bell ran and the fight was over only one was left standing... the one and only...
well done, well done. and as his armor showed not an easy win. a 3-1 result however giving a clear image that his victory was hardfought.
of course our losing finalist deserves praisings too, a tournament regular that always ends up in the top is certainly a sign of skill.
from the discussion during and after the brawl we have gathered some interesting information, here are some reactions from our finalists:
Jubaris has shown his skill in battle throughout many times over, this is a key example of his wisdom:
as for our finalist, only a mastermind strategy could be used to earn this crown, this is what he had to say on the matter:
Clear signs these gentlemen are at the top of the foodchain!

And for now the most important part the rewards:
    1) Chewett:
the honor of carrying the title of Equilibrium Champion
    1 WP
    1 anniv creature
    Golden wreath
    2) Jubaris:
    4 gold coins
    1 anniv creature
    3) Ledah
    2 gold coins
    1 anniv creature

This concludes this Equilibrium tournament. I would like to thank all contestans for making this tourney a truely challenging experience. I'd also like to thank the treasury for their generous donations towards our victors.
I hope to see you all again next edition. And who knows you could be the next Champion!
