  1. Special spot for me? Of course the "Gates of Ages". This is where I spent almost my entire day. I also lost my bathtub here, which should be next to the left post. It fell into the abyss. T_T

  3. Not much decoration here, but I'm of the opinion you don't need much to get a party going. Just lay a blanket, open the picnic basket that contains wine and bacon and just enjoy...this is a chill place to wait (for years) for those MP3s to direct them to the spear&halberd rack, teach them to use the whetstone and everything.

  6. Highly experienced in countless battles, Cyrus Siridius was revered by those who learned from him, students and teachers alike. His mastery of the blade wielding saved countless innocent lives from the hands of his foes. Cyrus also had a remarkable gift of teaching those who needs to learn the ways of a true champion. Fierce, agile and tactical, he applies his skills to defend his homeland, its people and most of all his family. Beneath his now-unused armor stood a compassionate gentleman; a King in his own right, a Warrior of life, and a Lover of his people. May he rest in peace.

    Archivist for a Day

Hello, everyone, 16 years, wow! That's a lot! Throughout these years, we've seen a lot: the rise and fall of many alliances, RPCs, Queens and Kings, not to mention countless events and quests. We have also witnessed the appearance of new lands, creatures and even concepts (Wiiya and Fenths come to mind, for example). I could go on and on, but I'll try to keep this short (and ultimately fail), so bear with me! Mur once said: I, for one, find this quote fascinating, especially when we acknowledge the many "coincidences" that take place in our beloved realm. As a (tentative) res

In first place we have the one, the only, Clair de Lune! The voice only gets ever more incessant, so I hope we can arrange the ceremony soon, I certainly hope within the next 6 days... In second place we have our incorrigible bacon lover, MaGoHi! He has, of course, chosen the 'free' murder, most wise. On a personal level, I hope you choose your next victim more wisely... In joint third we have the dynamic duo Sten

  10. Over the years, in MD, many people learned things that eventually changed their life. In 15 years of MagicDuel, this is probably the most valuable thing thing one could obtain, along with lifetime friends. I want to revive this "MD spirit" So...what is this about? Let me try to explain it People can be divided in two categories, and all people belong to both so how is this ? Each one of us has questions but also answers. In your line of work, you might be paid with 100Eur/hour or 2Eur/hour, its still an hour of your life. There are many young people that might spend years

  12. Today is a little different and a more sombre affair with us remembering those friends who have passed through MD. The joy we shared with them while they were here will never be forgotten. You are invited to write something about a player who is not with us to remember them. Either someone who temporarily not with us, or more permanently, you are welcome to share a memory or even just their name today, we wish them all well. MagicDuel is nothing without the players, and we have enjoyed meeting each and every one of you.

As Ledah is also one of my citizens I will consider this inner land politics and ask all land leaders to let us handle it within the land. Granos is free to Murder Ledah as he wishes. MaGoHi is a member of dst's alliance and therefore outside of this proclaimation. However knowing dst I imagine she would say "MaGoHi is ugly enough to handle his own problems" so I declare Granos is free to also Murder MaGoHi.

A full week in Necrovion is just too good to say no. Unfortunately he did not. Usually this ends with me claiming a head. But since I don't want diplomatic dramas, I'd accept some regalia instead. For now he is my prisoner. Stay tuna!

  20. Touching words. Nothing is meant to last forever, that includes also you, me, anyone, not just "a game". From my perspective, i see MD as a place where people come, learn, evolve, get frustrated, revives their curiosity, they make friends, etc.. its a place, disguised as a journey. At some point in life, every such place you encounter teaches you a lesson, then you leave with what you learned. You go on, and the place opens its gates for an other one and so on. People always wished to expect from MD an end, while it has no end. Just think of the concepts..i started coding it when i

Write me your thoughts for or against or both or neither, but don't hold back! If anyone finds this is far too open ended then make your voice heard, and I'll shout back some prompts for everybody to hear. Please do remember to write your entries to me privately though as anything otherwise may affect the ideas of others, though I wouldn't dare stop anyone from their private discussion. Else is an impressive grinder, and as Bailiff will be using his strength to keep order in the Alliance, and to keep the fighters distracted at storytelling events. (Hecklers, on the other hand, who seek to become martyrs, will instead still be met with Silver Tongue and/or Toad Speak). Please offer Else your congratulations and support in this new role.

    Perspective: Void

As many of you know, this is a subject I am quite fond of. I share similar views with many of you and some will differ. Given I am The Seeker of The Void I figure I should at least leave some input on this. To me the void is both tangible yet intangible. It is what the beginning and the end will and are. Some will claim that the void is associated with darkness, like a great blackness that just engulfs all things. While this may not be wrong, I see it more in line with a great whiteness(the potential for all colors). When you break things down into very basic ideas, there are two colour p

I like to think his memory smiles every time a story is told somewhere in MD. I remember AqlBeast, my first protector and a Seeker of Enlightenment. Someone who taught me a lot about this game, I like to think every time somebody around MD asks for help, Aql's memory is there to answer. I remember MRR who, most important of all, taught me how to do the silence spell! MRR, and MRP as well, also taught me many combat tips

From Kets I learned kindness and gentle quiet strength. Not just these things, but these in my mind were some of the biggest influences of Yoshi's character and I miss them terribly.

  33. Hi, everyone! As per Ann. 5237, I tried listing everything I could find that took place right after the 15th birthday up to today. I know I missed some months, so please help me in updating this work in progress (also sorry if I added stuff from before the 15th birthday) I thought about sending a PM to Chewett but then I figured it would be better for us to work together instead of listing the same stuff on our own, so I made it public. I tried defining "major categories" for the events, but feel free to suggest other ways to organize those. Here comes the (quite big) list...

    Bringing out the dead

For this quest I would like to request 3 things. First, a ritual/method to create the Death Anchor. Second, a list of all the tools, resources and anything else necessary for this ritual. If resources that do not yet exist are necessary give a short (about 1 sentence) description of how they can be obtained. Finally I will ask you for an explanation how and why this prevents the dead from being collected. Entries should be posted in this topic and will be judged by me. Public discussion on methods is not only allowed, but encouraged, and will also be rewarded. Best s

"Energy Burnt" Description: Gives Energetic Burn mark to those hit by energy burn markforcritabilities|mark=energyburnt;power=20%;duration=5;mustdie=onlydead;targets=e;target_abilities=energyburn I think it would be interesting to mark creatures who have been hit by energy burn "strongly" and make them weaker over the next few fights. Similar to how a burn continues to hurt over time.

  44. I'm not sure what makes me log in every day to play MagicDuel, but I have done so for more than 6 years now. I guess there are many hard-to-describe little things that make it enjoyable. However, the 'game' aspects of MD are somehow downplayed. For example, the combat system is excellent (and that's enough to make a game memorable, right?), but there is a sense of it being just something to be good at if you want to, but not imperative. It's not ''the way'' to progress, it's ''a way''. Well, maybe I can't explain my reasons, but I know this game is something that some of you will find to be ''
