I have been looking at the pictures Fenrir himself submitted as his drawings, and guess what? I think I may have found something interesting.

That was the one he submitted as his own (uploaded on my server to ensure he doesn't delete, he did submit it):

Oh, and not to mention he has at least 4 different drawing styles if you look at his alliance page shortly....

I leave everything else to the public. Edited by Shadowseeker

I noticed that a lot of the characters looked uncannily similar to soul caliber characters, and mentioned it on the thread when he posted his pictures... I think it is shameful to take another's work and claim it as your own... i think there should definitely be more than just a slap on the wrist. I'm sure copyright infringement is something that's not gonna be well recieved...[/center] Edited by cryxus

I see the pictures you pulled as "Fenrirs" What I don't see is your evidence that he plagerised someone else's artwork. Can you back up your accusation? Where did the artwork come from and where did he get it from. Only then should this poll be given. It is also a no-no to slander another player.

BTW, is this punish Fenrir Greycloth week?

Ok, well assuming that he did rip off someones else's work and its not the other way around, I think its pretty bad. If you cant draw, or are too lazy too, you shouldn't make out that you can. Same for anything really. Drawing inspiration from the works of others is fine too, imho, but these look to be exact copies (or merely mirror images).
For shame if it is true.

For No one has proposed a punishment i will be the first to offer one up

1. All his artwork be removed from the game Unless he can prove it is his own

2. Anyone who has his avatars or anything gets choice of an avatar from the next pack BEFORE they are released to the public. In recompense for the lost avatar or a few extra credits

His punishment. This is what probably needs to be debated more. From what i can see is that he should be forbidden from posting any more art for MD due to this. From the pictures it is clear that he removed the copyright of the original author so he knew that he has not done the work (unless he had done the work previously and if so i then apologise, but from what i can see he presented the work as recent and just for the game) and also another punishement such as prision

3. Not being allowed to do any artwork again

4. a time in prision or loss of something dear.

What do you think of this? Anyone?

Since no verdict has been rendered as of yet, I will reserve my judgment. However, if it turns out someone else did the work, "and someone did steal them, what the hell is wrong with you?!" -Fenrir Greycloth

To adequately express my response, I shall turn to the words of someone who can express their abhorrence of stealing far better than I.

“You stole. It is against the laws and the moral obligations of society. We work for what we have.” –Fenrir Greycloth

“I don't see how you still thought you could do this and think it is alright. YOU STOLE. Simple. It is wrong.” –Fenrir Greycloth

As you can see, stealing is wrong. As for ideas about punishment, I will turn once more to a quote.

"I would like to see this trial as well. *grins*" -Fenrir Greycloth

Maybe another public stoning is in order?

i feel that trial is just what the doctor ordered, allow some room for him to defend himself, and a punishment (if any) settled upon.

It's obvious it's a system Fenrir believes in...

Kriskah, if the webcam picture and the forum picture he has up are anything to go by, then I would say Fenrir is male and not Rachel Kremer.

This is more proof that what he has done is NOT his.

I have to agree with this in ALL of the art should be removed that he submitted cause the game does not need copy write problems ... also i would suggest a short and simple art works agreement for all artists to have to sign to show they agree they only submit only original art no copies and no stolen works ... and if they do it is solely their legal obligation for the copyright infringement

also all other avys should be looked at and if any are seen to be stolen or copies they should also be removed and that artist should see the same punishments

the ones who lose their avys due to this should indeed have first crack of the next batch of avys

punishment should indeed be not being able to contribute any art works to the game and he should be stripped of any credits he may have been awarded or if spent the creatures and other shop items he may have bought with them ...

time in prison should be nothing short of a couple of weeks to a month

as for the art work the ones with the great detail happen to be one of my friends fav artists on deviant art and i was looking at those pictures and other for the same artist just days ago so i know they are not his work

being an artist myself this is one of all artists fears that their work will be stolen and someone else will make money from their work or worse gain fame from it

i give no quarter to this level of offense

and if it were up to me i would say a full on ip ban :diablo: but in fairness that is left to others

oohhh... that will hurt him...

let's put a stigmata and the tag 'thief' on him once he returns from prison, including description telling it's not RP, but real life behavior that got him the tag LOL

about punishment...
there's only one choice imo, FULL RESET, as he's so proud of the creatures and stuff he bought with the stolen credits...
3 weeks prison, account reset to 0 (now show your preious RP-sk!llz, greycloth *laughs*) and obviously a permanent ban from 'creating' jobs like item creation, artworks, archivists... plus the tag and description^^

O.o
Ok, it seems obvious to me that he didn't draw those... but why didn't he post anything? i mean anything at all. not even something to defend himself. nothing.
About his punishment, i cannot pronounce myself...

As to why he is not replying, I can only guess....after being confronted with the first found picture, the armor, he played it off saying HIS artwork got stolen.

As to further proof, Sage: You can check on the links I gave you, and you can see they are dated pictures on the net. I am sure there are more, otherwise, why doesn't Fenrir just submit a list of pics which he uploaded somewhere and where, as in the link?

If he hasn't stolen, we surely can resolve and he can prove it, but it seems like he stole if you ask me.

Edit: If you check the dates on the net, it's two from 2007 and one from 2005...And I somehow doubt he can explain why they are so old, if they were supposed to be drawn just because of MD, for MD. Edited by Shadowseeker

Plagiarism can get me kicked out of the university with a really ridiculously bad record on my name, mayhaps barring me a professional career, especially in my chosen career. Because we all know what happened to the economy thanks to people without integrity.

He stole... I vote for complete removal of all that he earned, removal of all the avatars as well as stigmata and a long time in prison.

Why I think he is guilty;
All the drawings have a different style.
While usually posting like madman, he is now quiet here.
The pictures are linked to actual different artists.
The pictures are older than MD, while having been made for MD.

While this naturally does not make him guilty, as he is innocent until proven otherwise, it is still very obvious to me. Especially the different styles argument. If you hang around with other artists, you will know that they do EVERYTHING in their own style.

Seriously, someone (admin) try and verify if the artists on the links found if they have an account named Fenrir Greycloth and then punish him.

If there is no stolen artwork at all, I will apologize, but I highly doubt that. Edited by Metal Bunny

If MD gets caught with copyright infringement we will get shut down or worse.

IP ban, no second chances. His crime is punishable by real life fines. He is a real criminal. He needs to go bye bye.

I just received an email from Rachel Kremer.

It all looks authentic to me, she is dutch, 20 years old and creative student.
Her own site and stuff on deviantart.
I have asked for /definitive proof/ and for /permission to put her e-mail/ in here.
In my eyes, Fenrir is now completely guilty, all that we have to wait for is further proof.

The site where the Druid was originally posted on, by Rachel Kremer, listed it as :Submitted: 2007-02-17 21:30:16
That is well before the first festival.
