Starting on the first of the new year, seeing how things are going, I will send the itcs from jail. An extra 5 days is what I have chosen.

You know the jailtime is a minimum, not a maximum... your decision not to return the stolen items may not impress your wardens.

So how does people going into other lands just for the land AP bonus fall into that view AmberRune? They are not part of the land, and just want the AP bonus

How many times has this actually happened? Is it not the responsibility of land leaders to weed out and know these people?

Again, i'm not complaining about the punishment i've received, and if i would have received a month i would not be complaining about it either.

I'm just ponting out that from my point of view the punishment in this case is... well too little...

And yes Sooth could have gotten off free if he would have done it in a cleverer way so no one realized he had stolen or nobody has proofs. But the same could be said about anyone who has been sentenced to jail.

well looks like someone is trying to cause issues beyond what they are AGAIN.

So lets get down to it.

1. I announced i was stepping down but this would not happen until a replacement was in place.
2. My actions where taken not just of me making the decision.
3. The leader (be it ex or not) decided they would join Golemus WITH OUT checking with land leaders first. Just because i am not king does not mean i am not a land leader.
4. As you can see Azull was warned of possible jailing and still choose to stay in the alliance and still didn't communicate with land leaders.
5. I will admit i missed the announcement from mur on the use of the items.
6. a week went by for very good reason before taking action i was away on holidays
7. A week went by and Azull still choose to stay in the land without permission from ALL land leaders
8. Alliance leader Keily does not have over all say as to whom can become a land citizen and should have communicated to land leaders (this is a matter for the land leaders)

I find it both annoying and frustrating that that so many assumptions are being made in this matter.
As mentioned i took the actions after making sure land leaders where ok with this.
I should not be explaining this to anyone out side of Golemus.
The ones starting this sort of forum attack (yet again are making this personal)
Know this. Be i a king or land leader or just a citizen i will take every action i can that i have the power to
use and will stop necrovian citizens becoming a Golemus citizen. You made your choice.

I have and always will be agents necrovian gaining Citizenship of the land i love and protect.
this has always been how i am. I have on occasion let and even help necrovian around the land
but because of recent activities and yes Peace you are one of them i will do everything to be sure
Necrovians will be thrown out of Golemus. I know i cant do it 24/7 but i will do it when i am online.

I though we had started to gain trust between the land and i was starting to allow necrovian citizens into
Golemus but this action and the even it is part of show that trust is not something that can be had between Golemus
and Necrovian if this is how they intend to do business between our lands.

In regards to the kingship items. The are still in my possession while i type this reply
As acting king until FINAL decision is made i will keep holding them. There is a way for Azull to get out of jail
if the necrovian citizens choose to find it and use it so be it. AT lest then it is the land showing defence for their people
something that is lacking a lot thies days.

Now i am loosing track of the argument ans tire of this so read on and do as you wish.
If MUR or the Council decide i should be punished AGAIN for defending my land so be it
but i will keep defending it in every way i can.

edit:

just yo add i speak personally of the blocking of necrovians from Golemus
If the land leader back me on this all the better i do not and will not speak on their behalf.

I know I said might, because I could not be sure- you agreed with me. You could have prevented this however by simply asking yrthilian first, or did you do that and he reneged?

In the discussion there was another interesting point brought up: If you bring diplomacy and asking as a method up, you PMed Grido, but never stated intent to back off if asked. The PM itself also only states intent to get land loyalty. The way it was worded, it was to declare intent, not to ask permission, which you seemed to take for granted. If you had asked and gotten permission first, it probably would not have happened.

While personally I do not care too much about this, apparently the other GG people do feel it warrant a jail period.
I told Kiley I would leave the guild the moment she asked me to, or when otherwise I needed to leave for whatever reason.
As stated in my messages to Grido, land loyalty was part of it yes. Admittedly I should have worded my intentions more clearly.

If I had asked Yrthilian if I could join a GG guild for a while, his answer would clearly be no. Considering his reactions to anything Necrovian. Furthermore, he resigned and therefore I felt asking the guild leader would be enough.

So, Yrth banned Azull? O.o

And the reasoning he has, is because he didn't want him in his land?

Why didn't he want him in his Land? Was there some sort of threat?

It still applies in the rule of using royal items. Seperating the items because of their use is pointless, all items are counted the same whether it is to make someone citizen or excommunicate one in my opinion.

necrovion shouldn't have any position in GG and only for get GG land loyalty points!!!
Gaining GG land loyalty was a consideration of course, but by no means the main or only reason I asked to join a GG guild for a while. For 7 days nobody of GG except SS said anything about it. And then only to warn me Yrthilian might jail me if he learns of it.

aswell as imho these tools were given to highly respected players who wouldn't use the tools as a toy and only as "they" seem right for their views of their land.
Perhaps, but Yrthilan could have just asked me to leave and I would have, without the need for something like this.
I told him this in private after he jailed me. His reply however was that I would not be released. This seems a bit excessive to me, since Yrthilian has no problems with GG citizens using illusions to gain land loyalty from other lands.

I was a regular GG visitor before viscosity was introduced, after it was introduced, after land loyalty begun influencing AP cost. When access was 'democratic' I have not seen more GG citizens inside that foreigners; nowadays GG is a bit more often visited by its citizens (especially tuesdays).
I keep asking the question: if most land citizens (old and young) do not make any extra effort when it would be neccesary to visit thei homeland why should it be open to them and them only?

In your world, would the maze still be a viable access point to Golemus? If so, I don't see what function closing the gates would have besides pushing away those it already pushes away, the relatively young.

I don't understand what anyone would have to gain from the gates of golemus being closed once again, either. Do you think that the MD community benefits, overall, from Necro being closed?

On another note, does having multiple land loyalties represents a person with less potential as a citizen or alliance member? I suppose this is a common idea.

Then it is not only hoarding, but also abuse of shared tools.

And if it really comes down to keep them distributed to people- it's still hoarding, because non MB people may wish to take them (although they cannot use them).

Shared items can no longer be transfered if the target player already holds two or more other shared items. In some situations you might require having multiple shared items , such as the cauldrons for example. Remember the cauldrons are designed for collaborative play and not single-player activity. There is still a way to hold multiple items, so you can enjoy collecting more types of resources for example. All you need to do is go and grab them yourself! Its only the transfer that is restricted by the interface not also the grabbing of items directly from the item dispatcher.

Some time ago I issued a warning not to abuse shared tools till proper restrictions and rules will be creaqted for them, because I don't have time to work both on the restrictions, do police work with you and also work on their features. I counted on your common sense to determine what might be abuse and what not with these items, this is not about breaking a specific written rule, so there can't be a trial about it. This is about some failing to understand what "shared tools" might mean and not respecting my public request to avoid anything that MIGHT be considered abuse till I have time to work on the 'security' or 'rules' part of this major feature. Guilds that got affected by the release of shared tools that they were previously controlling were publicly announced that this is a temporary situation, as more resource guild related features are pending. There is no excuse for any of you to limit availability or hoard shared tool, considering the named warnings. People that got jailed for this will be announced publicly soon. Starting now, i lift this 'common sense' -no abuse- request, you are free to go wild. Rules but mostly interface restrictions will be created on the way based on whatever ways you will find to turn shared tools from their intended purpose.
Should it be considered legal now to take more than one tool of a given type (i.e. 2 herbs backets, 2 reality coagulators) and use it to speed up harvesting? I would consider it abuse... but I have been in the wrong before.

I hope Mighty Pirate didn't get jailed for heat jars incident. It would be pathetic to punish somebody who stirred the community into some action hiding jars (BTW I got one 18k quite a long time after tools reset, PM me if you need it) and letting resources deptetion (herbs depletion in most low lands makes the 'most accesible and public' Herbs Basket useless for most game population) go unattended.
After all, you could pick up heat jar if you went there early enough, you could ask ppl to loan it (you could get it for free, not only Mighty Pirate monopoly after all) - tools of the given type were still in circulation. On the other hand resources that are gone... are just gone - hence herbs baskets are available even several hours after reset.
To summarize... I do not think items hoarding should be a jailable offense. It's minor tools abuse comparing with depletion.
... unless depletion is also consider jailable offense only nobody reported it as such?

There are a lot of rules that never apply to anybody, yet exist. What's the point of cluttering the rules page with even more special rules, like MP2 rules, when it's impossible to become an MP2? For the few cases of MP2 appearing again, people do what they were told, and sometimes talk about different approaches and see if something should be done in a different way in the future.
The point of filling up the page with even special rules is to prevent innocent victims and honest mistakes. You admit yourself there are a lot of rules that never apply to anybody but yet exists, if perhaps one day a person breaks one of these rules without being able to be fully aware of the rule, I would say that would lead to an unjust punishment if a punishment is decided.
In regards to this point however, I specifically noted that rules should be set and not sought, this does not; in turn, mean that it is needed on the rules page, if a rule exists, then it should be somewhere relatively available rather than have the community ask for its existence.

In my opinion, we should not neglect the small minority as they still are part of this community, especially when some of these special rules can be easily written down; it does seem like an accomplish-able task. With that said though, I will agree that not all rules can be noted. I can honestly say that if the rules page was layered out better and had a bit more information then perhaps some of the past incidents would not have occured (A striking example of this would be incident revolving King Yrith and Mighty Pirate). Without any form of access to the rule without asking, one of the largest faults right now that resides on the rules page is this:

This is not really my main point but it has to do with it.

I don't have a morph, a windy or anything else of these rare crits that were given out this Christmas.

Only this year i was able to purchase a rein and a Santa from the md shop and it felt really good. It was the same feeling i had when i purchased my first rusty with coins and my second one from the md shop.
It was an achievement that i was proud of,that made me feel like i advanced a little in the game, that i grew from the little mp4 who fought with grasans and heretic archers.
Basically it was something i earned with my own strength and the time i spend in MD.
A while ago a windy was auctioned and i didn't hesitate to bid everything i had, was still overbid though but that was still ok. It made me realize that i am not there yet and that only a little longer and i could get one more thing that i wanted with my own strength.

Long story short, if i would have gotten one of these rare crits from the Santa i wont say that i probably wouldn't be happy, but without a doubt that would have been only temporarily. It cant possibly compare to the felling of achievement felt when you get it yourself.
The reason why i feel that Murmas was one whole disappointment is because it was like all the hard work i spent was been made fun of while others probably don't even realize exactly how much valuable crit it is that they got as a present.

I like BFH's idea, remove all christmas presents because clearly if people make such a fuss, then there is no point causing such Havok.

Confused Santa gave out gifts, if slightly biased'ly because of who he was but overall did a good job.

The tree is random, most people get basic crits and every now and then someone is lucky. I got a bloodpact, and although i already have some, i did not mind and was happy to get such a present. I did not expect some rare and expensive gift, but i was happy to get something.

As for these topics people complaining that all these rare creatures becoming common, i relised something for myself just a few weeks ago about the idea of a "Morph Shop"

I was fervently against it, hated the idea. Foolishly thinking that i hated it because it would make things less rare, and it would be much less special. Having thought about it more i realised the only objection i had to it was greed. I was being greedy that my 3 morphs would become regular, and people would have upwards of 8, And i didnt like that. Having come to realise that was my only objection then a morph shop is great, wonderful,it means i can complete my collection so much easier.

Dont be greedy that you didnt get something, and others did, or that he got X creature and i only got Y. Its christmas.

Two things mur has said previous.

1. Its not that hard to devote one minute to log into MD each day. It is very simple to do this, look at some of the top Active Day vets. Many of you will never have seen or met them, but they log on each day.

2. Rarity of creatures will change. I would like to point out that at one time angiens were sold for upwards of 15 gold. Nowadays they are freely obtainable. Market change is sometimes unwanted by greedy merchants and such, But market upheaval happens in all markets and you have to live with it. Adding 5 darks into the market wont effect you or me, because 99% of all of us wont be able to buy them. People that have lots of money such as SS and orvid will purchase them and demand huge sums if you want to buy them.

LE:more monitor jobs? You think THAT is the solution? No. I can asure you it's not. I know what is needed and hopefully I will soon get it. Trust me, I know how to do my job. And I am good at it even if you don't see it.
There are many answers I could give to you here, but I think I will give the nicest;

You may not have noticed but I have mentioned your name a lot in this topic, when talking about needing investigative skills. Do you not think that may be for a reason? Hm?

Here are a few ideas of mine in the hope of a better Christmas next year.

First and foremost the exact criteria or formula by what creatures are been gifted during Christmas to be made public and updated before the next Christmas.

Second, remove the creature present from the tree along with the activity days requirement.
Only Confused Santa`s helper will give creatures to the people, the tree will still give the other stuff.

Third, Confused Santa will have a list and give away presents by a category calculated for each person by the requirements that were made public beforehand.

Example of Category/present relationship(really just an example)

Chance to get present..............40%................................30%..................................20%...........................10%
Category I.................................Morph............................tainted angien...................wind dragon...............darkling
Category II................................rusty..............................Nutcracker.........................reindrach...................Morph
Category III...............................Sharpshooter.................soulweaver........................santa.........................rusty
Category IV..............................imperial aramor..............tormented soul..................bloodpact...................Sharpshooter
Category V..............................Toxicodendrite................heretic archer....................knator........................Imperial aramor

Forth, Confused Sana will select a random volunteer from the public that will help him giving out presents and in exchange the volunteer will receive a category 1 gift if he did a good job, or a category V gift if that was not the case(Of course he will receive sever punishment if he intends to abuse his authority).
Confused Santa really needs help, he is to confused to give out the presents himself so he chooses someone else to do it in his stead.

Examle: Person A was a bit bad this year so he only qualifies for a category IV gift, meaning he can expect to get a imperial aramor, a tormented soul or a slim chance for a bloodpact or Sharpshooter.

Everyone will be able to calculate for themselves what reward category they qualify for this year ahead of time and will be able to "better themselves" in order to be eligible for that certain gift category.

There will be no disappointed faces since everyone knows what to expect from Santa, but there is still hope for the 10% chance of getting the best gift in that category.

Even if you were "bad" you can still have hope to be picked by Confused Santa to be his helper and get a fantastic reward.

Fell free to comment but i think this would be a lot better Murmas then what we had till now.

Actually even i would prefer having just a tree and nothing else, it would make Christmas so much more enjoyable then what was till now.

The ideas i mentioned above are just suggestions to make a nice, calm and organized Christmas. This is what i really want above anything else.

And what is exactly wrong with having expectation? Did you even check what Christmas is like in other games? There is organization, most of the online games reward the same gift to everyone regardless of time played or other factors.
