Two example, pick the one you consider relevant (the result's the same):
1. game world: what other game officials make sure suspended player stay suspended far more than the announced period of time, not playing - giving them ample opportunity to reconsider any will/ motivation to play
2. irl world: what kind of country requires jailed individual to perform some gimmicks/ tasks after their time is over?
I agree with SS - Neno should not have to ask/ shot/ mood panel for release... announcement or not. His time was over ling time ago and his sentence did not read 'one week or the time Neno learns to be polite enough for game officials, whichever comes later'.. or did it
BTW is being nice and polite to game officials _really_ the signature of a creative, free-thinking individual MD claims to be targetting?

I can, I won't, unless he does the very simple task of sending me a message in game.

Please read the previous posts Dragual, I do not have to do this, I choose to, I feel it is acceptable for the jailed individual to put a little effort in, for the little effort I put in to release.

As has also been previously stated, all sentences are minimum, nobody went back on any word.
I HAVE read the above statements.... In fact, I read the whole thing. And I STILL thing it is absurd to keep him there.
Yes, a little effort is never a bad thing, but that does not excuse what you are doing. I say again, he served his time! Why keep him? Because he hasn't messaged you? And you even acknowledged the fact that he may not even know how to. Justify it how ever you choose, that doesn't change the fact that it's wrong.

No, SS, you just don't see me agreeing with things because when I agree with something I don't go out of my way to make it clear. Also, disagreeing with one thing is usually agreeing with another, so let's have a semantics battle, because I know you like them so much.

The announcement is from before the fugitive system: Phantom Orchid spent plenty of her sentence outside the jail, was there any repercussions for that? Based on that evidence I am assuming that announcement has been made defunct due to new features.

Plenty of people are rude, do they get sent to jail for that? No. So why should they be left in jail? Because Grido doesn't like the way they talk? Yeah, it'd be totally awesome if everybody was nice, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve to play the game with the rest of us. Neno isn't being rude to Grido specifically, either, from what I've seen. Has he even mentioned Grido? The reason he's being rude is because he believes he is being treated unjustly, which is rooted in either his initial sentence or the fact that he has not been freed yet. Anyone can get angry and do things they would not otherwise do if they are subject to unfair treatment, and that's what happens every time somebody is left in jail longer for than their sentence. The whole thing's rather pointless. Nobody benefits from people staying in jail longer than they should, but they do stay there because Mur said Grido doesn't have to release people.

If you don't care enough to set a proper release date, and then don't have the time to stick to it, then you shouldn't be banning people in the first place. Yeah, people do things that we think are wrong, they make mistakes, maybe they're just ignorant. That's part of being a community, you take the bad with the good, but when the people in charge use their power to keep people away because they're ignorant, what does that say to the rest of us? Best example is redneck being banned. He was basically the victim of an MD lynch mob: Everybody hated him, and that was enough for Grido to ban him. At the time, I thought it was pretty funny, because redneck was the scum of the earth and we'd all be better for it, I thought that was ok because Grido did it, and he had the power, but now? If that happened now, I'd be one of the first to protest it, though I'm sure that Grido has changed since then too, and that it would not happen again.

If someone gets out of jail sooner than he should (escapes) , his penalty will be increased to a lot more and if he does it again he received a permanent IP ban. Careful how a small penalty can turn into a much bigger one, jail is jail, not a tourist attraction.

As for Neno, if he demands to be freed in a rude manner, then he can wait for council/mur to unban him, or not? I mean...why should someone with no obligation unban someone who is rude to him.

I think it's absurd that you can't just let him out. He served his time. A penalty was set, and should be followed. It is a shame when the leadership goes back on it's word.

Alliances and guilds with only two members (or multiple alts of same person resulting in a total of two different people) are requested to work on their guild/alliance structure and expand it with new members (according to their own ways) or undesired actions will be taken. Alliances in this situation: Dimensional Shifters, The Artisans Guild, Shattered Illusions, Kelle'tha Order, Crafters.

The Seal of Six is currently in violation of this annoucement. Me, Sephirah, and other citizens of the Tribunal ask that action be taken against the SoS.

I hope Mighty Pirate didn't get jailed for heat jars incident. It would be pathetic to punish somebody who stirred the community into some action hiding jars (BTW I got one 18k quite a long time after tools reset, PM me if you need it) and letting resources deptetion (herbs depletion in most low lands makes the 'most accesible and public' Herbs Basket useless for most game population) go unattended.
After all, you could pick up heat jar if you went there early enough, you could ask ppl to loan it (you could get it for free, not only Mighty Pirate monopoly after all) - tools of the given type were still in circulation. On the other hand resources that are gone... are just gone - hence herbs baskets are available even several hours after reset.
To summarize... I do not think items hoarding should be a jailable offense. It's minor tools abuse comparing with depletion.
... unless depletion is also consider jailable offense only nobody reported it as such?

Okay, so, I've noticed a pattern with the jailings of individuals.

They get sent in really fast, but it takes forever for anyone with the unban spell to release them.

Why is this?

Neno Veliki has been in jail longer then his sentence, why is it that those with the unban spell (Grido, Council, Rendril, and of course Mur) have not unbanned him even though his punishment should have been over by almost a week now?

Others have had this happen to them too.

I brought the issue up with Grido. And he refuses to let him out unless he contacts him directly IG.

What is the reasoning behind this? Isn't this just enabling those with the unban spell to change the punishment to what they think it should have been in the first place?

Great mighty kings with all their godly powers tried to stop Eon ... but ended up in retiring.
Phantom killed Eon ...only to make Eon immortal.
And all the community with all their powers could not stop Eon from training. After all this.. Eon was not shaken.

But u single handedly just by ur action ...u annoyed Eon so much that he stopped his training and hold u for more than 4hrs WOW...
This by itself is a one hell of a achievement. So finally it was a FUGITIVE that stopped Eon from training..hehe.

Do u all think he did all these for my Quest rewards. Even i got no idea of the rewards. He might end up with just a sc and he knew this very well. But why he did this ...u need to ask urself.

Fugitives were not born ...they r created
they r created by the community in which they live in.
So stop blaming soothing sand and blame urself.

The day will come when this community learns to feel others pain until then We fugitives shall not Rest...In...Peace.....MUWAHAHAHA..

76) MagicDuel is just a poor version of YIM with some fancy graphics prepared for people bored with standard YIM.
77) MagicDuel is an alien agency supporting alien invasion by planting alien agent inside player's head through mental osmosis. People do not leave MD on their own - they are either saved by exorcists or are fully in alien control and no further adjustments are nessesary

I agree with Tal on what they are saying about land laws.

The examples given against so far I don't see how they negate what Tal is saying?
- Citizen specific rules can be worded in citizen specific ways
- If someone from a country you are at war with is in your land then...yea they should go to jail...whats the problem there? Its a war.
- Financial gain for land entry could be proposed, would be up to the citizens (and the rest of the community I would imagine in this instance) to argue if its right or not - but what about other things? Fees for dealing with resources? See that would make sense to me.

Of course this may all be irrelivant because currently there are no monarchs...will/do land laws even still apply?

The point is that if the land laws only apply to the land citizens then any of the laws regarding the land itself and how it gets used/abused become irrelivant as 75% of the quad-land related population can totally ignore them (let alone all the other folk), so there is little point in having them at all, and then those laws are not there to protect the land but only to handcuff it's own citizens.

the land cleanser can only move eon back 1 screen, and only when you win. Which is impossible for 99% of the people.

When you lose, he will be locked in place for 60 secs,. A prospect that is not frightening to anyone.
And eon is in an alliance. meaning he can only be attacked every 10-12 minutes.
(and the landcleanser might be bugged, not working, still need to test some more),
All in all the landcleanser is not usable on eon. And I'm not sure if its effective at all in defending a land. 1 scene back, waiting for the time out to attack again that person, means your target can easily pass you combined with the delay in chat for a person to show up.

You do realize that Eon's desire for herb baskets means you can movelock her before the items return, use the land cleanser to move her out of the pickup point, and then since she doesn't want to miss out on baskets you can go crazy with the needle, don't you? And in the meantime, if you organize yourselves, you can also collect all the baskets so Eon can't take any.

Then Eon doesn't have a basket and is needled.

Complain all you want, the tools for this sort of thing have existed for a very long time now. All you have to do is organize yourselves.
