I vote for confiscation of cries and anything which does not pertain to his role as well as any other profit he might of had from selling these goods. I vote in such way because
1, Aethon (since he is working on behind the scenes stuff A25etc) has been working with Mur for some time so anyone who has worked with Mur knows what he means, because at the end of the day Mur speaks logically he has common sense. Unfortunately he believes everyone shares this commonality yet some don't.
2, I have had these similar instances with Mur and while yes I too could have made the argument of miscommunication to gain more I don't because I know what he means because I know that english is not his forte. (no offense Mur) Which means his phrasing might be a little off so you should have DOUBLE CHECKED as you said you would and double checking is doing that well before you do the action. Its similar to shoot first ask questions second. (defeats the purpose)
3, if we all want to deduce this to a simple mistake and give Aethon the benefit of the doubt which I AGREE WITH, lets just correct the issue, which was he grabbed things he shouldn't have so they are returned and final.
4, Not sure if you're current role has "trust points" but if it does I would suggest taking one or two of these points up to Mur of course.

Aside from the creatures and coins... Creature slots would be really neat, maybe some of the Timed Boosters as item (Medittion on Life, Altered Perception of Time) and perhaps some tokens.
Not too fond of the idea of stat boosters in general. Also the percentual stat boosters are a deterend for players with negative stats, as it would only push them further away.

Actually the value of 15 silver to one gold happened much much before notes were even a thing Mur.
You set the note price based on the already agreed values.

I know people have a lot of strange forms of pride and such, but I really don't see the issue with having to send a PM to get out. If you want to get outwhy should anyone but you be he one to take the innitiative? It's also a nice way to ensure some last contact before being put back into the game.
Officially, the jail time is a minimum time and anyone with the unjail ability has the right to refuse using it, but as far as I know any player that has served his time gets released when they ask to.

    >In an optimal way the jail system should be automated, as in the spell would set a certain amount of time for the ban and after the time is fulfilled user is returned to GoE.
Did you read the reasons why we request a talk with the person we are freeing? I dont think these can be fulfilled by an automated system.

    Stupid phone...
The reason that we ask the jailed member to contact us is becuase then we can establish a dialogue with them and ensure that they understand why they were jailed and we  can ensure it doesnt happen again. Crazymike only has to contact us, its a simple process.

Look at the shrine glow on a starry night, a night of fireworks, celebrations and joy. A night conveying the true spirit of MD birthday.

I like the concept behind this new role and I think it will prove helpful for the community.
I have only one concern regarding Necrovion tools.
The land is closed to mortals, there is no social structure: for the sake of coherence, the use of tools shouldn't be regulated, it should be pure anarchy.
If you're smart/brave enough to get in and grab the tools you should be able to use/hoard them for that week.
    Just my 2%.

An attempt at an objective view on this:
Unless a specific punishment is stated prior to the onset of an agreement, the nature of the punishment is arguable, and therefore liable to be voided. Punishment should be agreed in advance, both with the signing parties as well as the party carrying out the punishment itself.
If it is the case that someone who rents the solidifier and puts items within it other than permitted is due for a week jail term, have this agreed to by game admins and state such on your thread. To exaggerate the situation, you could otherwise for instance have asked for a year in jail, on the same basis that you have asked for a week.

With breach of contract, it is the first party who is at fault, unless the second breached without knowledge of the first occurring. If indeed it's seen that you did breach the contract made with Rider, then he would be within his contractual rights to collect the solidifier back from you, nullifying the original contract.
It could be argued that part of Rule 2 regarding forfeit of coin, may be extended to Rule 5 where it says about not using anything else in it, and therefore you breached first. That being said, there is nothing stated in his public rules about him reclaiming the tool from those renting, and so if he did not know (as opposed to having a suspicion) that you had done this, then there is indeed a potential breach with him as well.

Not necessarily, just because punishment is a possible end result, doesn't mean it's coming from the one stating about it.

The false info part is irrelevant, doesn't matter the reason for a rule in a contract when you're arguing if it's been breached, as that should have been contested prior to agreeing to the contract in the first place.
A begrudged party is entitled to request punishment on the perpetrator, whether proposed punishment is justified and actually gets carried out is another matter however.
    ===================
Aethon, I assume you don't contest that you agreed to the rules?
May I also assume that you did, as claimed by Rider, put items other than permitted into the solidifier? Which would be against the rules as he laid out?
    -
Rider, breaches of contract that do not take away value from an agreement are considered minor breaches and are highly unlikely to succeed as a lawsuit[1] and here you have both the fee as well as the item returned. Generally speaking for a breach of contract you would be looking to claim damages from the other side, this would be to cover expenses and any punitive damages you may want to claim for - in other words, asking for a jail term for this is an unreasonable settlement. If you feel you are due damages(additional coins) as a result of this then that could be looked into, however personally I would steer away from a jail request - though that is but my humble opinion on this matter.

samon got a reaction from No one in Pure Gold, Uncut Diamonds and Lonsdaleite Shards
In all honesty, I don't think the resources are going to take on as currency. The fairly stable value for gold and silver makes them ideal for trade, and the limited supply helps in keeping it that way. Diamonds however have no history and because anyone is able to obtain them fairly easily have very little to keep their value.
Right now I think I'd value them between a quarter of a silver and maybe two silver.
There are some ways however that could ensure their value. First make them extremely rare. I'll be honest and say I don't know how common they are right now, but their rarity should be such that is you're lucky you find one, maybe two in a day, but just as easily find none. What could also help is make it dependant on the mining skill allowing you to go from maybe once every other week to once every other day when it comes to finding valuable resources.
Gold and silver ore can of course be easily tied into the current system by allowing them to be minted into coins, but that would require some careful fine tuning if you don't want their value to plummet.

samon got a reaction from Kyphis the Bard in Why resources get consumed in stacks
This has been a long time coming:
Still I'm not sure if I'm too fond of the way fillable combiners practically destroy all excess resources. Why not make it so that when you use a fillable clicky it transforms all your resources, but using a certain function gives you more results depending on how much you put into them. For example every following high level resource requires twice as many resources to make. e.g. For 1 item you pay 20, for 2 you pay 20 + 40 = 60, for 3 you pay 20 + 40 + 80 = 140 etc.
This way resource hoarding is still heavily discouraged, but you still preserve some of the purity of the original stack, similar to the 1 + 1 + 1 = 2.8 example.

samon reacted to lashtal in MD b-day Auction: Horseman
Since I started my watch in Necrovion I've been sensing a presence, a dark creature lurking in the barren land.
Hoof sounds at first, but never a neigh. Then deep traces into the ground and a persistent iron stench...
One night I dreamt of it, filled its forms and bound it to me.
Now I can't sleep anymore... I have to get rid of it.

    I'm auctioning a Horseman (creature ID 22).
The auction will start together with MD birthday (approx. 22 hours from now) and last one week + 24h after the last bid (past the week).
Only gold and silver coins are accepted and the minimum bid is 15 gold coins.
All gold will be devoted to Treasure Keepers.

This is a one time offer. Enjoy MD birthday!!!

samon reacted to Jubaris in RP gathering events becoming a true MD drama play - suggestion for discussing
Unpredictable - I totally agree, but the question is what is the unpredictable part
The way I'm thinking it - you would have some checkpoints of the event. Junior did tell Maebius to kill them, Maeb did kill them, TWs did retaliate, those are facts that shouldn't be changed. But anything between is okay. Plot twist, it was Azull that told Junior to tell Maebius to kill so that he would create circumstances to demonstrate power to do X over Y?
Maybe this specific scenario doesn't bring much inspiration, but I hope you hear me
When it's decided who will do which role, people (actors) could communicate with each other privately before hand and say to each other "hey man, I want to try this out, will you play along in the scene?", etc.

samon got a reaction from lashtal in Land of the dead.
    From my observations:
First of all, when you're dead you're treated as if in TC.
Once you die you become a citizen of "the Dead". I believe once you're resurrected you should automatically become a no homeland citizen, but when using the TC to get resurrected this for some reason doesn't happen.
While you're dead you're not supposed to be able to change your land affinity, but I'm not sure if this is related to being a citizen or actually being dead/in TC. (Have you tried joining another land since you died?)
The increased action point cost is an effect of TC that translates over to being dead, but is unrelated to citizenship.
Finally, a land doesn't need a land leader, the maze didn't have anyone for a long time, neither did jail or no man's land.
So, you being a citizen of the dead is a bug, the rest are side effects.
