This is, in my opinion, one of the grater applications of teamwork i have seen so far. I must admit I try to steer clear of the dojo as I dislike the lack of ease that others bring to it...I hate asking and receiving no response, time and time again. I love the fact that as long as you follow a specific guideline the Training Grounds allows for an easy, quick, and most important efficient way to train your creatures. The only thing that i would like to see is a way to punish those who come into the training grounds with the sole intent of ruining other people's training. But the concept and execution thus far has impressed the hell out of me, and is one of the better ideas i have seen implemented.

Speaking of cults, i wonder how the Savelites answer to this *laughs*

also, what if you believe in a unity of everything, and that you are part of something bigger...i.e. god, and are just a passing figment, or something akin to that?

there should be an option for that

In all seriousness, thank you lass for reiterating what i've been saying... i dont understand how everyone thinks of the archivists when they see the name warriors, it's completely counter-intuitive.

The way most it has been presented only a few times was there any mention of a true warrior aspect, most of it has been this archives stuff... now im not saying warriors can't also research, etc. i mean hell look at the Templar Knights and how they reigned in knowledge, but the way people have been presenting it was as a group or researchers, in my opinion, and actually put little thought into the warrior aspect of it. Besides aren't the Sentinels already dealing with Necrovion knowledge? why have 2 alliances dedicated to that? why not trying to put the chips into something that isnt already being covered, again not saying they shouldnt be trying to gain knowledge just that it seems counter-intuitive that that is everyone's point of contention in this matter.

It's not entirely a new concept that's been brought up when mentioning alliances, months ago (nearly a year) when I suggested a pirate alliance I suggested that they deal with hard to get information as well as a broad spectrum of other mediums, such as a little bit of war-mongering, but as a pirates it isn't counter-intuitive to try to try to gain such things as a means of getting the upper hand in dealings. What I imagine this alliance being, however, is a more of an advanced military force working with the shades/under the queen of Necrovian, basicly a first line of defense or offense while the sentinels deal with the information... just my ideas on it.

t be honest i dont see this in my mind as being more achive related... if based on title of the alliances i would assume the Sentinel to be the protectors of knowledge and the warriors to be... well warriors... just my 2 cents... like i always say - what the hell do i know anyway?

Sorry, I have two things that are noteworthy to say.

First to a mini-response to Kyphis' post, and is more directed to Yrth:

Nuetrality or not... I can't let GG bleed like this... if I have to I will let Grido in as long as I have the ability to do so... Yrth I'm sorry, but it's because I'm faithful to GG... and I will continue to press for him to get his access back.

As for my second part, this goes to someone who was rated with a vote weight of 9 (hmmm) and I wanted to express my discontent with one line in particular, because it is completely unfounded, and I wanna set this person's stigma straight.
as far as this line goes "About Cryxus (not to mention about inacitvity) should i start and explain why a pirate should never be a king ? \r\n\r\n I think i should end here"
I can understand the inactivity part, although I was only gone a month a while back and have came back at least every few days, though I was busy studying for a job in healthcare industry as well as dealing with family issues... but no matter... I digress...

I have to ask... did you even read what I said? because I don't recall saying I wanted to be king... I said I would run in the election and lord over GG with the consult of advisors, etc... but I suppose it is kinda difficult to pick that out despite the fact that i expressly stated that several times over in this forum...

As far as why a pirate shouldn't be in a place of power... why is that? I mean obviously you get that from a magical world that doesn't parallel real life at all where pirates are only ever pirates, and cannot do more than that... I mean there has never been a pirate in an influencial position like pope before... oh wait... that's right... there was.

It wouldn't have been uncommon for pirates to become privateers, then move on to influencial positions such as governors.. In fact one such pirate went by the name of Henry Morgan... but I suppose that one cannot make distinctions with such heavy prejudices... I seriously suggest you do your homework before you speak, even if you think it'll be private, because if you seriously thought that line held water... think again.

Actually the king must be removed during, or prior to a new leader being seated... it would be awkward having 2 kings of GG or something of the sort. Who is to say a king can't be removed? I suppose one could be king of nothing, and nobody, but that's hardly a king.

Again, I'm not for any side in this debate, but if the people do not follow their king, and do as they please without regard to him it can hardly be said he is king, save for in title alone.

Pample, for clarification I never said I wanted a king either... I merely want what is best for the land. If people think MB is best suited to be ruler, so be it, if it's someone else, so be it, if it's nobody, then so be it... The people of Golemus, however, should be united to protect, and, dare i say, better our land.

Pample, just for clarifications, not saying that what grido did didnt show gall, but I think that yrth had already done his worst, I doubt there were any punches pulled when it came to his being banned from GG, so really I feel MB is putting much more on the line. Does that make Grido any less qualified to lead? no. It seems to me, however, that he is already backing MB in his bid for canidacy, but lets not make actions seem more glorious than they are, Grido was pissed, justifiably so, and he felt there was need for retaliation, in my eyes it was no hero's call, though Grido has done plenty of worthy deeds in my eyes for a bid at canidacy as well, though I would hate to see him stretched too thin to perform any other duties he has.

This is concerning the dissenting party, though I certainly still feel that both sides are going about this the wrong way.

I must express my distaste at the anonimity the this "backer" is still clinging to. If (s)he wishes to see yrth overthrown, step forth, voice your complaints, or please sit back and let others handle it, as they seem to be without your aid for all I know. Those who cannot stand and fight for what they believe in shouldn't expect others to do it for them. Be prepared to lead by example, or be prepared not to have the backing of others who see weakness in your character for letting others fight your battles for you. I understand your reasons, but I do not respect them. A leader should be cautious, but when the time is right he must not show weakness.

As for Yrth, asking someone to attack a friend, and then punishing them for not doing it is more than a bit harsh, as king you should be thinking of the backlash this may create. Keeping the loyalty and faith of your subjects should be among the top priorities of a king.

Both sides... please, I implore you to think on your actions a bit more, as stop being so selfish. The last thing GG needs is a selfish king to tarnish it's good name, which hasn't happened yet, but if the course continues it may just be the case. I am posting this as advice, take it or leave it.

I'm just gonna throw this out there, i don't really like the trend of people asking for to be king, or ruler of a land. I think it is all good and well if it they are recognized as such, but why do they have to chase the title?

What if something happens? do they still feel entitled to be ruler? is their rule suddenly final? does this present new problems? these are things i think people should be looking at...

look at it like this, what if Neyla had become ruler of LR and were to suddenly come back, theoreticly since she was ruler would she feel entitled to continue her role?

again this is theoretical, and i think of Raven as the presiding member of the council, but what next? is every land going to have a king or queen? do we get 5 people who decides what goes on within their borders? do we put more limitations on people? that is how it is begining to sound to me.

Raven I respect the hell out of you mate, and think you are a fine leader... I'm merely presenting the other-side
