I suppose a public vote shall be viable, but that depends on how the MITTENs takes hold. It may become a committee, or it may be a case by case scenario since personal conflicts are possible.

    EDIT:

This is not something I will do, but us as a community. I would like to see this become an integral part of the control of a certain type of behaviour.

So, we have seen several players throughout MD who have no regard for any of the rules set up by Mur, or the Community.

We can't ban them permanently, but we can do the next best thing!

    So... I bring you the...

    The MagicDuel Behavior Modification Program:

Or... MagicDuel Inhumane Tickle Torture for Extreme Nitwits!

[The Name is Subject to Change]

    The Purpose:

To embarrass, humiliate, and punish the individuals amongst us that annoy us with their disregard for anyone else but themselves.

    The Goal:

To humiliate the subjects of MITTENs to the point where they learn to be more docile, and become integrated within our society(if all goes well) or they get tired of the MITTENs program and become hermits(leave).

    The Way:

Using the current system of holding Trials(rarely ever held but still current), we hold public court hearings with a judge(a neutral person), a jury(our Community), Prosecuter(someone responsible for bringing the unjust behaviours of the Defendant to light) and the Defendant. Last, but not least, the Executioner. The prosecutor will try the Defendant, let them plea their case, and defend themselves while the Jury sits quiet. Once the prosecutor and defendant are finished, the Jury has their turn to ask the Defendant questions about their behaviour, offenses, and items of relevance.

Once this stage is finished, the Judge, the Jury, and the Prosecutor retire and converse about the trial, and come up with a suitable punishment.

The Executioner shall uphold the punishment suitable to the case.

    How:

The Judge must be able to separate him or herself from emotions, but still be able to think rationally. These people are few and far in between. So, we must choose carefully on who the Judge may be.

The Prosecutor must be able to bring evidence, witnesses, and proof that the Defendant is guilty.

The Jury must be able to think creatively, and constructively when deciding whether the Defendant is guilty, or whether the evidence is powerful enough to bring about a punishment.

    Edit:

Please tell me what you think, any suggestions, and any constructive criticism is MORE than welcome!

Fenrir Greycloth got a reaction from Esmaralda in Spam And It's Different Ways
Was my previous post off topic? Or was it deviant from the message of the original post? If so, I would like to know what was wrong with it.

I honestly don't care about my post count. They mean nothing.

We all post offtopic, but is it actually spam? No.

Posting off topic is wrong, yes. But unless it is a constant attempt to disrupt the forum what is the point of punishing others for it?

    –noun
    2. (lowercase) a disruptive, esp. commercial message posted on a computer network or sent as e-mail.

    Edit:

My point here is that just because one goes off topic, it doesn't mean it is bad. When you have a conversation with someone do you stay on topic all the time? No. Well, this forum is just like the game chat. We talk about a subject, and sometimes it goes off topic.

Now when someone comes in and starts trying to disrupt things by swearing constantly or by talking in caps, it is justifiable to tell them to shut up and silence them if they don't listen. Well, that is an appropriate reaction here as well. Punish those who are actually posting useless crap/ off topic posts. Not those who go off topic occasionally, because Akasha, you would get punished as well. You go off topic as much as everyone else. Except for certain people of course.

    Edit 2:

I forgot to add that most posts made by anyone are off topic according to you. Most people post their reply to the original topic and then reply to others. And then those people reply to the other people's replies. That isn't wrong either

You stole. It is against the laws and the moral obligations of society. We work for what we have. The demo account is working for MD as a resource to help other players join MD. I don't see how you still thought you could do this and think it is alright. YOU STOLE. Simple. It is wrong.

I would like to see something more being taken than the three creatures that were the oldest... How about the three creatures that had the most Experience? That would be a much better punishment.

Fenrir Greycloth got a reaction from dst in Festival Contest - Day 278 - Painful Sacrifices
I am holding a contest to see who can make the ultimate sacrifice.

Give up all your creatures. Give them away, sell them, sacrifice them. I do not care. But get rid of them and give me proof.

I will then reward you beyond your wildest dreams!

I am currently in the process of doing this, giving all my creatures away to players who want and deserve them.

This is in accordance to the Festival of Pain.

If anyone manages to do this, they will be true masters of Pain!

Edit: This applys only to MP5 players (aka Veterns) for anyone else it is not a true sacrifice.

SInce a few people have already tried to lie to me about it, a screenshot of before and after of your critters with your name and server time must be viewable.

So I took five different iq tests online since I have never had my Iq tested...

Each with 100 questions and a differing time limit ranging between 45 and 60 minutes.

    I scored 135, 100, 175, 95, 120.

Shows the worth/value of these tests.

Honestly, who cares? We are all adults here, sure, swearing like a soldier/sailor is not acceptable, but a few curse words, as long as they are not just... you know, swearing out of anger, or pure flaming should be acceptable.

Okay, at your leisure? He was just being polite. Do you honestly think that it matters? This isn't a legal binding contract. You guys keep on playing with these words and it will only make it harder to trade because people will be so paranoid about being scammed.

No one needs to be careful about wordings. A trade is a trade. Once you agree on the price, one sends their offer, the other returns with their end of the agreement.

Because it was to appear as if I didn't have a hand in it. And it was complicated trying to keep the people that needed to be a part o it informed without telling then the whole story wa a challenge. I knew some of them would tell their friends what was happening and thus influence the ending to their liking.

I have anger issues against people who talk crap in a game but wouldn't say it to my face IRL. Or those who attack others for being weaker.
