1. I read to the end. It's been a long time, but I'll peak back in.
2. Apologies to all, an MOD can close this. It took digging through about a hundred old passwords, but I finally got one to work. Thanks for your help Ravenstrider.
3.
Try to login with your email instead of your username.
The password retrieval gave me my email as my login, and my user name as my password.
4. Greetings! It's been sometime since I was here, and when I received the email about the sixth anniversary, I thought, what the heck, let's see what's changed! Well I used the forgot password link to recover my information, only the login screen still tells me it's not valid. Is there an outright reset mechanism short of contacting Manuel directly? 5. I would love to help. Tiberius Reign, 77385
6. Having looked through the new idea list, I did not see one about chat effects I'd like to see added, for those of us who get to the list in the shop. Worship, bow, hail, thank, greet, wave, etc. Simple actions. Also, I'd like to have mock's profanity removed, seeing as how I got told off rather loudly the first time I used it. I'm posting this here because Lightsage said it belonged here.
7. I'll be posting a thread shortly. 8. I looked into it last night, and here's why MD was deleted. "to avoid speedy deletion an article does not have to prove that its subject is notable, just give a reasonable indication of why it might be notable" So it would be as simple as saying taht it's an unusual game built around a philosophical core which players must come to understand to advance further within the game, and has the potential to revolutionize games. So that's pretty simple, right?
9. What the bunny said. Also, the Dojo idea is interesting, good luck with it.
10. I disagree with the fact that an independent wiki would be a bad idea. You only need 1 person to do it. Especially if all edits have to be approved before being posted. Also, if you restrict it to MP4's, or perhaps even MP5's, then you have less to worry about. Mur could even get someone to do it in echange for 50 credits or something. Perhaps someone that was going to do MD Archiver work would switch over to it? all Mur has to do is take a look and approve it once the basic wiki gets set up, with someone to proofread the English version. It'd at most take about four to eight days a month, of cleaning and approval denial, which could easily be setup as two hours a day or some such.
11. I say no. Why? Oh that's pretty simple. You see, unlike most people, I've been known to sit at the computer for ten minutes doing nothing but refreshing the page to read the litte tip snippets Mur has so kindly provided us with in game. One of which is. "Each mind power level is like a filter, bringing together people of like ideas." Or something to that effect. This game is designed to reward players who learn how to play it a certain way. Thus it is not right to spoil the game for lower mindpowers by allowing them to attack higher ones. Furthermore, there is a reason negative honor exists, and your whole valuation for the fights destroys the complexity and point behind the current honor system. It is not about simplicity, or playing hack and slash. This is a game about something deep, far deeper than merely attacking for honor or exp. If all you're doing is looking for wins and EXP, you're in the wrong game. If you really want to have a learning experience, sit and talk with Khal for ten minutes, that's a trip you'r enot liable to walk away from the same. This is about discovering yourself, even as you discover the game. I encourage you to start over, and slow down. As my mentor is wont to say, "Seek above all else, a game worth playing." I think I've found one here and intend to hang on for the ride, as long as it ends in Golemus Golemicarum for me. (Edit for spelling)
12. I think the reason Manu is being so broad about this is very simple. The reason is that the term "elemental" is broad and undefined. It serves a base from which to build. It can be almost any force of any kind. Think of taking Time, Imagination, and Elemental as three principals. Elemental serves as your base, something from which to draw power, Imagination serves to focus that power, and Time gives you a when the power can be used. I may be completely off base, but I think Manu just wants Elemental to be something broad and undefined because it should be.
