Then perhaps the requirement that you have to gain them all via trade, should solve that problem, partially.
Besides that, even without achievements, you are going to have item hoarders anyway.
Not to mention there are way too few items in play as well as me forgetting to mention that what is listed above is nothing but an example.
Besides, items should be useful for other things besides just roleplay.

Which is basically my opinion this matter. Some of it may not apply, a lot of it will.

How about I add something new.
I wrote this in someone's log, to give you an idea how I handle these people.

"To every action there is an equal and opposed reaction. This game is awesome and great and so it is only natural that annoying people show up."

You have some choices when dealing with these godmodders or immature roleplayers, or whatever you want to call them.
I use a... in my opinion, a more mature and relaxed perspective on these matters. I ignore them or simply roleplay an action that makes them look immature or foolish.

For instance if someone roleplays eating me, I respond by either ignoring them or by roleplaying that s/he should let me go, if s/he favors his/her teeth.
If someone roleplays like in the first example; a giant blob eating bob and spitting it out. I would respond by either ignoring it or more likely: roleplaying that I see a quite delusional person humping bob the tree and licking it awkwardly. I then roleplay wondering where one could find a narcotic that would make one so delusional.

Continuous complaining about people who cannot roleplay properly to the already set consensus of the older players, well, that is just basically useless. If these people are indeed so immature or not used to the level of roleplay, then they will probably not read the forum.
In the offchance they do adjust, then it was a great thing indeed.

But far better it is to adapt. Because these people will never stop coming and if you allow them to ruin the game for you, you let them win.

Instead, keep roleplaying accordingly and set the good example or standard. Passive action, such as NOT RECOMMENDING THEM FOR PWR OR RPC, would be far more efficient in my opinion. These people will always come and play in such a manner, but if you can hold a more prestigious place over them and set a better example, then I believe that in the end, when the grows and grows, the majority of the players will have followed the example and the new players who godmod, will find themselves to be regarded as delusional and in the minority.

Sounds a bit rough what I am implying, peer pressuring them into /more liked behaviour/, but that is the world we live in. But remember, I am an emperor, I am not a goodly and kind man who wants to be liked by all.

Complaining does not help a lot I believe, but should it help, by all means, go ahead. Better you than me. I just think it is better to just ignore them or to ridicule them. Oh and to not recommend them for, well, basically anything.

To stay on topic here, I believe that the current RP is actually quite good. I had expected a lot more Ledah's and the like. You see glass half empty, I see half a glass of vodka in my belly and half more to go before I drunkenly make a pass at some random female relative of yours and make merry while embarassing not only me, but her in front of your entire family as well, with the added result that you can no longer look at her with straight eyes and thoughts. Ever.

wait a bit.... isnt roleplaying supposed to be everywhere in the realm? and not centred in one location, afaik it is, roleplaying in dojo and mp5 rules made dojo dead, go ahead get all roleplayers in one location and ya can call this game deadgame.com instead, roleplaying is supposed to be scattered all across realm and not to be bound to one location, cmon i wanna see smith, fisherman, bandit, vampire, and all players roleplaying at dojo that woule be interesting fishing on dry, having bandit camp on main town square so to speak, vampires on sun and zleiph at dojo where there is no bob sry if ya dont understand this then dont but then ya have really no right to talk about roleplaying, ya should be the one to search and catch up to find others with who ya wanna talk and not that everyone comes to single location

I'm in two minds about this.

On one hand, it's good to see a bit more rigidity to the dojo.

Some of the rules are valid, but then there are others which I'm not so impressed with.

1: MP5's are open to attack - I personally used to go to the dojo, not to train, but because it was the social epicentre of the game, I could talk to friends and not risk mass gribbly death.

2: Not to use excessive roleplay - Why not just change the name of the game to 'duel' in that case? The dojo was the last bastion of roleplay left in the game, so where are us 'RPC's (that's ROLE PLAYING characters, for those who have forgotten) supposed to ROLE PLAY? We could go to the...no, wait, there's nobody there....or how about the.....Nope....no one there either. Most people were either at the dojo (Role players and those less interested in combat) or the gazebo (Combatheads). So now where are the roleplayers supposed to go? Because I for one will not be returning to the dojo any time soon.

I know some people will dispute the comments i've made, but I stand by them.
The idea as a whole is a good one, but it needs refining.

Metal Bunny reacted to Shadowseeker in Challenge Towards The Dojo
There is something I planned and orignally wanted to mention at the debate, but as my time was lmited and I did not get the chance to speak, I am writing here instead.

It was my own idea before the debate came up, the debate just made me speed things up.

My idea is simple: It says it is a dojo, so I hereby challenge the leaders for their sign. And with that, I intend to take over the leadership officially.

Changes I would bring with myself would be:
Actual basic and perhaps a few advanced lessons on combat.
Allowing MP5 to be attacked. Lower MP's should get protection, but everything has to end. This is benefitial to all, since there was NO such place before.
A system based on public methods to keep everything in order. Dreams which I do not have won't be used in my opinion, in case it is needed we shall see again.
I heard of the idea to move the location, and I am against it. At a certain point in storyline people spawn there, so I think it to be a good idea.

I know I have a few people supporting me, but I'd still like to know what the public feels. Anyone care to respond?
And yes, I can be rather impatient sometimes. So, I'd like to see this happen as fast as possible.

(The setup from Granos was just ideal, so I sorta hijack this topic now.)

Out of protest of this, I will now attack anyone I so choose in the Dojo. MP5s do no need it for any reason. Anyone that has had over 5 million experience do not need it. It is just an excuse to get people in trouble for people in MP5. I know how every creature works, I do not need to have a place to learn.

You wish to have a debate about a subject but do not wish to invite those who would be affected by it the most?

Do you not seek to have a balanced perspective? There will be those there who will be anti-dojo, but you choose to exclude those who are pro-dojo and who would have the strongest arguments for the dojo's case?

If this occurs has you prescribe, Chewett, it will be little more than a chance for others to bash the dojo and its supporters.

How do you come close to roleplaying a villain otherwise?
Sure there are other ways, but if it fits the role and it makes you hated, then by all means. Let it be.
Ban and especially permanent bans should only be for things that threaten everything or seriously cross the rules of the realm. Such as theft of any kind, spamming, continues advertising, exploiting bugs, hacking, etc etc.

So, hell no.
