What annoys me in MD

If a new player has an idea, or a complaint and he's trying to participate by posting it because he is excited or annoyed and sees a thread there for that exact reason He gets mostly irony and negative criticism as an answer (from the same people) I constantly read similar comments in the forum: you should know (the rules are somewhere in the chaos called announcements), we can do anything we like (as we've been given god powers you will never have and you can't do anything about it), only our ideas can get implemented (because we waited long enough??), you have to prove yourself first (?? play a hunderd years), md is only for our elite team (from one point on you'll stay stuck in the storymode get bored and leave because our puzzles are just for a few) our way is the only way (what you say does not matter), md is unfair deal with it(even if we alt abuse, even if we exploit bugs, we are in the team and don't get punished), and so on and so on.... It's an annoying attitude that disappoints and drives new players away That's how I feel at least...

    What annoys me in MD

There is a reason why the elite of MD have all the powers. They have shown dedication and loyalty to the game. They have given a lot to the game. They have shown that they can handle "power" and "responsibility." If you want these same priveledges, strive for it, but never ask for it.

    What annoys me in MD

I will tell you how I got my job, or role as a secretary. I posted on the forums that I will work for Christmas gifts. My influence over the land is because I DOVE myself straight into the fires. Yes, I got burned, yes, I faced criticism and still do. Yes, I abide by the rules to the best of my judgment. I have no 'super' powers. All I have are my wits, my knowledge, and my friends. There is no 'elite,' only those who can be trusted to do the right thing, and respectively do so. They are considered 'elite' in some eyes, because they have proven that they are worthy of the things they do. MD is how you make it. If you whine and cry about it, and sit around twiddling your thumbs about how many things annoy you, then sure. You won't get far. I personally have a few qualms about a few things in the means of how MD is structured [socially], but do I often sit around, making a forum post with lists of how many things are wrong, and how I hate what certain people do? No. I suck it up, and I do what I need to do. Why? because people count on me to do the things that I need done, and for that, that gives me the drive to get up out of my bed, and help MD. I am not even a year old. Yet, look how far I have gone. You, as a player, should have known that this is no ordinary game. Why do you think Mur let's people make choices in story mode? Or why there are no ordinary 'classes' that originate in every other game? It is because this is MagicDuel. You are, what you are. It is, what you make of it.

    What annoys me in MD

i think Curiose(for one) is slightly a case against your point, she is a relatively new player, and yet she seems to have influence in the realm, as she is Mur's secretary, which is contrary to only old age pensioners (like me) having all the power/influence, we have a lot of freedom, but it's still available for newer players. If an idea is seen that has been asked before, consensus can usually judged, based from what happened previously, which is then the responce.

    King's Court
I await your criticism on this, but please know: Despite on whatever nay-sayers may say, "King's Court" will have its debut in an alpha attempt to see how it all goes.
As i read this, you are saying that you have spoken with every King AND QUEEN and they have agreed to do this as a trial?

    King's Court

Like Chewett said, I question the practicality, but, I very much like the thought of something like that in game, kinda gives that fitting atmosphere (call it RP), cause mostly all conversations occur on YIM or via PMs.

    King's Court

I would imagine this would be a decision for each king/queen to make, if they wanted to do something along these lines, rather than a global idea for people to decided on either way. So would think that the thread isn't really necessary..

    MD Birthday Party preparations

I think it would be cool to have veterans decide on leaders and then have each leader organize and name their team so that each team is unique. Just an idea. I think this festival has a lot of potential -LJ

    King's Court

this was looking to be a good idea but it has some flaws. 1. the kings dont govern every land. 2. King 1 cannot get involved in king 2 affairs 3. I believe most kings already have an open invitation to citizens to forward ideas or even just request a meeting in game. For one i cannot sponsor a citizen from another land with Golemus WP's. They are Golemus treasure not MD treasury. yes we have in the past sponsored quests of other land or even of non land people. It is within our power to do so but wont always do this. just wanted to add I dont remember agreeing to this that is not to say i didn't agree to try it but i will have to be reminded of when i agreed if i did. Despite on whatever nay-sayers may say, "King's Court" will have its debut in an alpha attempt to see how it all goes. I will also add the more i think on this idea the more i dont think it is workable.

    honor tweak suggestion

since this is just my suggestion and not totally a new idea, i dont know if it belong to the Idea board, so i put it here instead. these are only examples, just assume all names here are nonallied: MRI: win 1500 / lose 1500 AmberRune: win 2500 / lose 2500 now the situations (based on nondamage battle. honor value are not accurate, just want to point out the positive and negative state of value): MRI vs AmberRune: MRI win : MRI get 0 honor while AmberRune get -1 honor MRI lose:MRI get 0 honor while AmberRune get 0 honor AmberRune vs MRI: AmberRune win: AmberRune get 0 honor while MRI get 0 honor AmberRune lose: AmberRune get -1 honor while MRI get 0 honor then Pothos who move to mp5 with 2600 wins / 2000 loses, will absolutely become huge target since MRI and AmberRune will get nice honor out of the fight against Pothos. those 600 losses that Pothos need just to get balanced so he/she can stop getting negative honor when attacking MRI and AmberRune will surely drain his/her current honor, probably deep into negative side. not only that, defending against other mp5 with lower win counts will give Pothos negative honor as well. bottom line is, at the moment, someone are at disadvantage if they got huge number of win counts when they're defending whether they're balanced or not. so, what i want to suggest is, when the win/lose ratio is the same for both attacker and defender: 1) ones shouldnt get negative honor when defending against others that have lower win counts 2) ones shouldnt get negative honor when they attack and lose against others that have lower win counts

    King's Court

This is just an idea I have been fiddling with. The basic idea is that a king will announce monthly, or bi weekly, or whatever, that a King's Court will be announced. People can go to the King with ideas of how to make the land better, with new quest or contest ideas, ask for sponsorship and or make a public complaint against someone. Now, this does not have to be for land citizens only. Say for instance, person from land x wanted sponsorship for quest y, and goes to land z's king regarding it. This would help them to get an immediate response regarding the sponsorship, and would help to kind of chew out the ideas a little bit in the process. King's court can also hold small things for people to do, like gatherings, or 'parties.' It does not have to be all official business, either. I await your criticism on this, but please know: Despite on whatever nay-sayers may say, "King's Court" will have its debut in an alpha attempt to see how it all goes.
